A complete contrast to Rheinstor with some very steep hard problems. It is a sheltered, shady spot that seeps after prolonged rain.
Nuda's Tartan faces east, but is steep and sheltered by trees.
Alport is situated off the B6046 which runs south from the A6 south of Bakewell. For both venues, park in the generous lay-by with a high kerb just west of the village of Alport (on nice days it fills quickly so either get there early or park somewhere else with consideration for residents). For Nuda's Tartan, walk down the road for 250m to a lane leading off the left. Turn up here and walk for about 50m and you should see the rock through the trees on your left.
