Boswednack is a delightfully secluded headland with a mix of intriguing climbs. The rock is basically sound but with some superficial looseness.
Approach from roadside parking opposite Gurnard's Head Hotel. Follow the lane beside the hotel, bearing right where it becomes a rough track and follow this to the coast path. Turn right and continue for 500m until abreast of the walled corner of a field right of the path. To the left of the path a slight track, used by anglers, leads to the sea across a featureless vegetated slope. This path leads to bird-limed rocks at the top of Boswednack Cliff.
The left hand end of the main cliff has an unstable looking cornice of rock hanging over previous rockfall and would be best avoided.
Approach "path" is not well-used, and has lots of brambles. Rob Davies - 04/Jun/17 |
