Two quarry tiers. The Upper has three routes; two E1s with home made bolts and trad gear and the other an E36a/F6b+ with good staples. All climbs finish at the same lower off.
The lower tier is split into a slab and steep headwall, all routes having good staples. There is one scrappy VS with two old rusty pegs to the right of the clean rock.
Hi James , I hope to re-bolt the top tier and " The hard boiled wonderland " on the left of the lower tier and maybe add anew line left again ; waiting to hear from the BMC re provision of bolts

No problems encountered on numerous visits.
Had a walk around this place recently. The lower tunnels have been blocked off by the former owner. There are also multiple signs saying "stay out, no climbing, private" etc. But no physical restrictions to entering the quarry area. There are heavy, stainless bolts on either side of the quarry top to rappel down into the quarry pit, the only way in. Does anyone know where you can buy these extra large rock anchors? never seen them before and I can't find much on the internet? Good parking on the main road. Nick fox - 25/Sep/23 |
