Scenic hole in ground close to Hodge Close quarry offering drytooling sport. Thanks to Paddy Cave and Co for putting the work in on this quality venue.
WARNING:
Major rockfall at the Works.
Be aware there has been a major rockfall at the junction of Bloodline and Let there be light. A block, approx 1.5-2 tonnes came off the route while we were climbing it this evening. It has left behind potentially loose sections in its place. Extra care should be taken in what is the usual seating area for the foreseeable, as this is where the block hit.

Leave Hodge Close carpark by way of the track behind a locked gate on the left. This heads down towards a working quarry. Track behinds to the right and goes downhill. On the left is the hole in the ground/quarry known as The Works! Use the rope & ladder to carefully access the floor of the quarry.
Please do not park in front of the gate leading down to the quarry. This is private land and access is required by the quarry owner. Park 20 metres away in the main Hodge Close parking area.
Can this venue be used during heavy rain periods? Rowen Simpson - 19/Dec/19 |

Just a heads up, the gate down to the quarry is used from time to time, please dont block the gate with your car, the proper parking is only about 20 metres away! maybe_si - 08/Sep/12 |
