As part of our new release we would like to collaborate with UKClimbing to offer the chance of 8 free places on a winter skills weekend here in the Cairngorms for two days on the weekend of the 17th and 18th of December 2011. This course is aimed to give those both the skills and inspiration for the coming winter season. There will be two days of practical work on the hill looking at the various elements for safe travel in the winter mountains including ice axe and crampon technique including the self arrest, navigation, equipment, avalanche awareness, route choice and some emergency measures.
Simply answer this question to be in with a chance to win your free weekend winter skills course in the Cairngorms. You can find the answer on www.cairngormadventureguides.co.uk
This competition has now closed.
The question was: What three winter activities do Cairngorm Adventure Guide specialise in?
The winners are - Richard Bannister, Elizabeth English, Emma Ryan, Jon Rogers, Tim Rosie, Ronny Addsets, Imogene Fisher and Christina Sklebar
Note: This is for course costs only and includes instruction and equipment but does not include food and accommodation; all you need to do is to get to Aviemore for the weekend. We can help to recommend places to stay and eat.
