Over The Moors, the new BMC guidebook to Kinder, Bleaklow and Chew Valley

BMC Over The Moors The upland gritstone crags that ring the mighty moorlands of Kinder, Bleaklow and the Chew Valley are some of the most noble outcrops in the land. Where jagged adventures, breathtaking scenery and sublime routes meet to give the wildest climbing on gritstone. And all within a few miles of the big northern cities.

The guide has been written by some of the most active locals in all its areas and now you can tap into their special knowledge. No stone has been left unturned in the obsessive drive for top-quality information for this guide. Definitive coverage of almost 4,000 routes from Moderate to E8.

It's all here. Yawning edges to while away perfect summer days, century-old chop routes, deep green chimneys. Crashed bombers, purple heather-clad hillsides, the cry of the curlew. It hardly seems right that such remoteness can be so close to the traffic jams of Manchester and Sheffield.

This guide details all the crags from the Chew, Kinder and Bleaklow areas in one volume. Coverage stretches to the Glossop and New Mills areas with their numerous quarries and secret outcrops as well as to the Saddleworth and Oldham areas.

See the BMC shop for a free sample chapter and to buy the book online. To order by phone, call the BMC Membership Services Team on 0161 445 6111.

READ THE QUESTION As I'm wearing my official hat here, I have removed the work 'fu@king' from that advice :-)

I listed all of them just to prove I am a damn clever dickie. Does that mean my entry will be void? ;-( Chris
13 Jun, 2012
We'll let you off with that Chris, i was more thinking of the other end of the spectrum. And who knows, you might even win three books, as opposed to some entrants, who might just win a third of a book.

Don't help them. If they can't read properly it gives me a better chance of winning... ... or is it me that can't read?
13 Jun, 2012
You don't stand a cance of winninh ha ha ha. If the above line has disheartened you, then yes, you can read. If it's no odds to you then no, you can't.
