This is your chance to win a place on this year's Petzl RocTrip Argentina.
Petzl have announced this years RocTrip. For 2012 they are heading to the La Buitrera Canyon, Piedra Parada, located in the Chubut Valley in the Patagonia region of southern Argentina.
Whilst climbing was already established here, last March Petzl sent 30 climbers out to the area where they joined local climbers and established over 200 new routes. The climbing is on red volcanic rock with excellent friction and lots of pockets; there are single and multi-pitch sport routes from 5 to 8's.
The Petzl RocTrip Argentina will be held 22 to 25 November this year. As usual you can make your own way there and join in the fun with climbers arriving and registering from the 19th (details below).
But this year Petzl have organised a contest in almost every country to give climbers the chance to win a trip to Argentina at the end of November in the company of Team Petzl.
In the UK and Ireland, Petzl distributor Lyon Equipment have set up a photographic competition for climbers to win a climbing trip of a lifetime.
All you have to do is submit a climbing photo by 14th September 2012. Entries can be voted on by anyone and the top 50 photos will be judged by an independent panel to select the winner. The winner will have their flights and travel paid for from the UK to Argentina and Piedra Prada, meals paid for at the site, a contribution of £100 towards insurance and will be given a Petzl helmet.
So, grab your best climbing photograph and head on over to the competition page. Please note, that while the competition page is hosted at Facebook, you don't have to be a member of Facebook to enter and it is easy to upload your image and vote for other entries.
