The Book

Since 1996, Rockfax has been synonymous with the Costa Blanca area of Spain.  The three editions the triple Costa Blanca, Mallorca, El Chorro book helped make the area a firm favourite amongst travelling climbers and since then, the 2005 Costa Blanca book has cemented its reputation as one of the best destinations around for great sport and trad climbing.

It is the quality and variety of the climbing that keep people coming back time and again: bags of classy sport routes across the grades, some superb multi-pitch sport routes and magnificent trad climbing in a mountain setting.

The latest edition of the guidebook will be published in February 2013. It is bigger than ever (surprise, surprise) including several new venues and a host of older ones in better details with more up-to-date coverage.

Good to hear...but all that I can think of is the hidden gem of Pirates of the Caribbean sector is going to become very busy now... oh well!

I doubt that very much indeed. Parle is a brilliant route but a committing 50m free-hanging ab, to rock that might be greasy, clipping bolts that are definitely rusty (and well-spaced) isn't likely to draw the crowds in huge numbers. Alan

Rather than disuade me Alan , you have just sold it to me with the ab in alone . So now I need to buy the guide book and a decent r/h ascender . Bloody expensive this climbing malarky sometimes , most exhilirating though . :0)
