Based in North Wales Beacon Climbing Walls are manufacturers of plywood climbing walls and CrazyClimb. We are currently advertising a number of different posts to be based at our workshop and offices near Caernarfon.

Beacon Climbing are committed to building innovative climbing walls and CrazyClimb facilities finished to a high standard. We are looking for new employees who will share this passion and are keen to work with us during an exciting period of CrazyClimb development and expansion.

We expect the roles to be full time but we are also happy to consider applications from suitably skilled freelancers. Salaries will be dependent on experience and are available on request.


Workshop Manager

Responsible for overseeing all aspects of the day to day running of the workshop including:

• Prioritising workshop schedules and liaising with directors, project managers, workshop technicians and admin staff
• Health and safety compliance in the workshop
• Staff training
• Briefing workshop staff on an ongoing basis
• Getting involved hands on with all aspects of production as required

Suitable candidates will ideally have:

• A high level of woodworking ability including use of the most common workshop machinery and power tools
• Ideally some experience of basic steelwork fabrication, spray painting and CNC machines
• Previous management experience - ideally in a workshop
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to command respect from staff
• An interest in climbing


Project Managers

Project Managers are responsible for the smooth running of wall building jobs and the work will include:

• Design work and producing proposals
• Liaising with everybody involved in a particular job including customers, engineers, site contacts, etc
• Ensure workshop and site schedules are achieved
• Getting involved hands on with production as required
• An element of site work required for the overseeing and hands on completion of jobs
• Health & safety on site

Suitable candidates will ideally have:

• Previous wall building experience
• Understanding and experience of H&S issues - particularly working at height
• A working knowledge of Sketchup and ideally CAD
• Design skills and a good understanding of different materials
• An interest and understanding of climbing wall structures and basic engineering
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
• An interest in climbing
