This competition has now closed.

For 40 years, Petzl has been creating headlamps with the same focus on innovating lighting technologies, improving brightness, burn time and beam pattern, and on inventing different ways of lighting. The reason for this focus is simple: Petzl hopes that every outdoor enthusiast finds a headlamp that corresponds perfectly to the activity and lights them up!

Petzl's Performance series of headlamps was designed for dynamic activities in technical terrain, such as trail running, alpine climbing, and backpacking. These types of activities require optimum brightness and burn times with rechargeable batteries for intensive use. The performance series includes the TIKKA R, TIKKA RXP and the recently upgraded NAO (now with a maximum light output of 575 lumens and increased battery life).

The Updated Petzl NAO

The new upgraded NAO, is compact, powerful and rechargeable headlamp with REACTIVE LIGHTING technology for technical, dynamic activities. With REACTIVE LIGHTING technology, the brightness of the NAO headlamp adapts instantly and automatically to the environment. The headlamp thus provides maximal brightness (7 to 575 lumens), a longer burn time, along with greater usability and fewer manual interventions. The integrated light sensor is oriented in the same direction as the eyes; it measures and analyzes reflected light in order to instantly and automatically adjust the headlamp's beam pattern (wide and/or focused) and light output to the user's needs.
