Cold Mountain Kit has been around for a few years now, and is rapidly getting known as one of London's best climbing gear shops and one of the leading UK websites for specialist climbing equipment. We are a company run by climbers for climbers, and offer specialist advice and equipment that is not normally given or stocked by many shops. We currently have positions available for a part time sales assistant in our shop in London, as well as part time positions in our new shop in the Reading Climbing Centre.
Applicants will be expected to be available to start mid to late September.
Duties of the position will include:
• Processing and dispatching web, email and telephone orders.
• Helping customers with queries, advice, sales and returns, both in the shop and via telephone and email.
• Helping to manage inventory between the physical and online shops.
• Maintaining the appearance of the shop floor.
• Using initiative and developing an awareness of what needs doing in the shop on a day-to-day basis.
• Other numerous other jobs which are necessary in the day to day running of the shop.
Successful applicants will have;
• A passion for rock climbing, mountaineering, the outdoors and most importantly the equipment!
• High motivation and capable of giving sound and unbiased advice on equipment and its uses.
• Basic experience in computing and experience with Macs is a bonus.
• Previous retail experience will help, but is not required.
• SPA, CWA, IRATA or similar qualifications will be an advantage.
The position will be based on a 20 hour week, but the successful candidate will need to be flexible with their working hours and days and will be expected to work over the weekend.
