Best Climbing Experience
Leading my first E1 - "Motorcade" E1 5a at Froggatt
First E2 on-sight Solo - Admittedly a "best experience" in retrospect - was scared witless at the time. Crux was the top move, which I didn't realise when I left the ground... did it though, topped out, then got a severe case of the shakes..
First time I did 100-in-a-day, 115 routes, 6/Aug/2011. Then 151-in-a-day, 13/Aug/2011. Both the 115 and the 151 at Birchen/Stanage. First time I did 200-in-a-day, 210 routes, 29/6/2013. Windgather-Bamford-Burbage-Birchen-Stanage.
A clean on-sight lead of Chalkstorm, **bounce**.
Climbing in Yosemite Valley. A lot of the climbing in Spain.

Interests Outside Climbing
Quite a bit. I'm currently writing my third book, learning wood carving, a bit of hobby welding, also attempting to re-learn how to play piano and violin after a twenty year break - hard work, but progressing....
I do a fair bit of running, generally one long run at 15-20k and a couple of 5ks a week, just really to get some aerobic exercise in now 50 years old is approaching!

Anything Else We Should Know
Ignore the grades to the right, I am merely a reasonably solid VS leader who very, very occasionally has a good day. I also climb about six grades higher on slabs than on anything vertical.
