Rock climbing since I was a teenage. Winter climbing mainly in Scotland since the 1970's. Done a some mountaineering/climbing in Switzerland, Spain (Picos de Europa, Andalusia, Guaddarama, Sierra de Gredos), Norway & Ireland (lived there) Have climbed on ice on the North York Moors and a fair bit of X-Country skiing including the Lyke Wake Walk.

Best Climbing Experience
Scotland in the big freezes - 1976 was a good one! camping out and listening to the water freeze in rivers! Climbing the Main Wall at Cwm Glas and watching Brede Arkless solo the route next to it in big boots and with a large rucksac.
