Well, I started as a paddler and still love paddling. After various cajoleing from two friends in particular in an effort to solve my fear of heights one to help take me soloing on my first outdoor climb and the other to take me climbing on water... Yes I ate the pill and now try and attempt to do both...Best Climbing Experience
Smoking the White Owl III, 4 **
A truly spectacular day. After nearly dying on the easy walk in- well I had been recovering from a paddling injury and been sat in an office for six months! Was relieved to start climbing. After swopping my usual weapons of choice, paddles, for axes and under the guidance and support of Bill and Tim. Whilst trying to be as good for Bill so he passed his assessment had a lovely day. Although the chunk of ice falling on my face from the dutch tourist gave bill a little shock as I appeared at the top. But no harm was done and then for cake and tea at the gondola station.
