I'm Portuguese but been living in England since 1996.My hobbies are mountaineering, climbing, walking, badminton and sometimes cycling.
Been climbing since 2002 and was introduced to it in Sydney where some friends took me to an indoor wall. Got addicted and never looked back.
In the summer of 2003 went for some mountaineering abroad for the first time (Peru) and liked it so much that went there again in 2004. In April 2006 went to Nepal and to Ecrins in August. In June/July 2007 went to Switzerland and did Allallihorn, Weissmeis and Nadlehorn alongside with 4 via ferratas and some sport climbing in Lake Como-Italy.
My winter climb experience is relatively low but done some grades I, II and IIIs.
Done most of my climbing in the uk and some Via Ferrata in the Dolomites in the summer of 2005/2006 and 2007.
My favourite crag is Shepherd's Crag in Lake District and it’s where I normally start my first leading of each season.
Although a terrible navigator (no matter how many courses I’ve been in) that doesn’t stop me or my enthusiasm to go out and have a great time!
Since 2008, as I have now two kids, I've been mainly walking and scrambling with them as they are both very keen on the outdoors plus doing my usual 3 winter trips with the YAC club (Lakes/Wales and Scotland). In recent years I have found another hobby...now I run 2 to 3 times a week too!
