After spending years underwater I have now started to venture into the hills. My main element of enjoyment in the mountains is journeys, travelling to or through somewhere with enough technical interest, not much in my case, to keep you thinking.

Any one of many Scottish mountaineering days.
Smearing, sweating and swearing my way up the slabby Watchtower face at Arapilles.
Having the rising sun melt the frost in my moustache while looking over the peaks of the Cordillera Blanca.
Every time a hold turns out to be more positive than it looks.
