An official "Holiday Climber" (https://www.thebmc.co.uk/british-team-climb-new-routes-on-greenlands-west-coast-rock-walls), I've been climbing since 1996, but started climbing more frequently after moving to Norway in 2011, mostly bouldering and sport climbing with the occasional trad sortie. Have climbed little the past few years as my focus has switched to skiing and running (only so many hours in a week)
My most notable climbing trip was 4 weeks sailing and climbing in Greenland with Bob Shepton (of Belgian wild bunch fame).
I've been on a few summer trips to the Alps, climbing some peaks (Matterhorn, Gran Paradiso, Lagginhorn, etc.) and some bigger rock routes in Norway and the Alps.
I also worked for 2 seasons as a ski instructor, and have done quite a bit of ski touring, including the Haute Route and a bunch of stuff here in Norway and some in Japan and N. America. My preference is steep skiing (just jump turns, not big mountain style!), and I have some first descents here in Norway.
In 2014/15 I started ski mountaineering racing. I completed Pierra Menta in 2016, and I tried the Mezzalama 2015, but couldn't make it to the postponed race. I competed in the Norwegian championship series ('17/'18) becoming veteran champion, and will hopefully try Mezzalama again some time.
I also run a fair bit; mostly off-road. I've run 3 road marathons, pb 3h11, and a few trail marathons/ultras. I'm hoping one season to complete a full training program without injury or illness to have a good shot at sub-3.
I haven't been climbing much recently, just running, skiing and cycling. Hopefully get back in to climbing soon.
I've travelled quite a bit - 65 countries on all continents.
