For a large portion of my life my obsession was skateboarding, until I wore out my knees, now it's climbing and wearing out my tendons. Now working as a Technology Technician in a school; this has nothing to do with IT, and a lot to do with fixing things and helping kids make stuff in wood/metal/plastic. Have a proliferation for all things purple - hence the user name. I'm interested in diversifying my climbing experiences more to include new destinations and climbing styles. Love trad and sport climbing equally and travelling.

Best Climbing Experience
Topping out on a trad route (especially at the top of your grade) that you have lead perfectly and everything has come together.
Clipping the final quickdraws on your hardest redpoint project.

Best near epic: Arriving at the top of the Ruckle, in the dark, in winter, having prussiked out from the bottom after having to abort a route. My partner was still dripping sea water after an involuntary swim..

Interests Outside Climbing
Board Sports:(skateboarding, snowboarding, kiteboarding). Running and Yoga as supplementary activities to climbing. Now finished my van conversion at last. Wahay!
