A little about me:
I started climbing in august of 2011. I have tried to keep a pretty open mind and listen to loads of advice, I find I've probably discarded nearlly as much as I've recieved.
I try to go as often as I can, twice a week is the norm. I boulder mainly to hone my pig ugly technique and build strength. I spend most of the summer hanging off local crags, theres some good'ens up north!
The winter I spend in and around the lakes messing about with crampons on, I can never get over how fantastic the lake district is, and right on our doorstep.
Climbing and trekking has been dominating my many hobbies of late, but when I'm not climbing I'm usually out taking photos or living out in the 'wild'. outside of the outdoor scene I race motorbikes and enjoy partaking in the F400 of north east motorcycle racing club. I run a local cadet detachment that I try to enfuse as much of the outdoors as possible into the structure of teaching!
There is loads of other stuff too but I'm pretty sure your sick of reading by now!
I am a pretty laid back guy and try to take most things as they are! I can't stand people who go out seeking misery in everything, you know who you are!
I like to think I'll tell it how it is and I suffer no fools. I dont like people who talk rubbish or just generaly lie.
I love to push things to the limit, as winston churchill said:
"Play with more than you can afford to lose...... and you'll learn the game"
and as ernest hemmingway said:
"there are only three types of sports; bullfighting, motorsport and mountaineering....... everything else is just a game!"
see you on the crag
