Steve Wakeford

Had a top job in telly, bloomin stressful, lung collapsed, always wanted to climb mountains, didn't know how, learning, left job, rented out house, moved into camper van..... Going climbing.

Until September I had only ever done some mountaineering (extreme walking) up a few volcanoes in South America. Then, I spent 28 days on an intensive rock climbing course at the Brenin and have come away extremely keen and addicted. I can comfortably lead VS but have climbed harder (seconded E1, Sport climbed 6a+and tried harder indoors but my movement skills need HELP!). I've had 6 days out in winter either by myself or with a partner. I have lead III and want to see what IV looks like. Soloed II and will do III next.

Currently living in a van, going to La Grave and then Chamonix in Jan.
