I like getting into the outdoors to walk, camp, climb, sea-kayak, telemark-ski and mountain bike. Have backpacked at least 7,000 miles with my wife Martina, mostly in the US: in the rockies- Continental Divide in 2009 and Pacific Crest Trail in 1998.

Best Climbing Experience
Lots of great days out in the mountains- maybe Ancient Art on the Fisher Towers, Utah stands out as a particularly memorable experience. Wild exposure and wind on the final 'ice cream cone' summit pinnacle (see pic in gallery). Aguille Dibona in the Ecrins, Devils Tower -Wyoming, Integrity - Skye, everything at Bosigran, Needle -Shelter Stone, Spartan Slab Hammer Pause Ba's at the Etive Slabs are wonderful too.
