I love having fun and an adventure. Being outside with good buddies, seeing amazing places, getting a wee buzz, getting glimpses of wildlife. As well as getting all this from climbing I enjoying it on the powder fields on my snowboard, in the sky from my paraglider and sometimes at sea on a sailing boat :)

Best Climbing Experience
Topping out on the Ben in winter to the most amazing colour show, being too dehydrated and eating the 'juiciest' apple on a summit in the Picos, chilling round the fire in Font with good mates and a beer, being somewhat scared climbing hoar frost more than a foot deep on Lochnagar, sending my first 7a+ as the sun went down, 20 nightmare raps off the Piz Badille, listening to the call of prayer whilst looking at the most amazing desert views high on a route in Wadi Rum before being held captive by Jebel Rum for the night. The list goes on and on and on:)

The latest trendiest gear, buying second hand ropes on ebay, trad vs sport, 4CU vs camalots, grades, ethics...actually they are my least favourite! Talking over the details of routes or adventures with another enthusiast or not talking about climbing!

Interests Outside Climbing
Paragliding, snowboarding (backcountry!), caving, some windsurfing, some mountain biking, surf badly but not often now, long boarding, juggling, and painting. Being a biologist I also like Science, well when I'm not re-submitting papers or looking at another p-value just over 0.05! I cant wait to get my own garden...one day, till then I dream of things green!

About My Photography
I wish I could take good photos but I'm rubbish and I just end up getting involved in the activity! Also I don't currently have a camera, but really appreciate a good photo...will leave it to the experts :)
