Lardy punter who tries hard to be a prolific lardy punter. I don't climb hard, never did and never will but insist on having fun. I'm a bit OCD with my ticking and am trying to work my way through lots of lists and have a long term plan to tick the Peak upto HVS. A member of Edale MRT, which makes life interesting and unpredictable and leaves me with no illusions about what a bad gravity day will do to your innards. Day job for an oil company.

Best Climbing Experience
I have only failed to enjoy a handful of routes, usually because my fingers froze or something like that. Ones that stand out include a Moonlit solo of Raeburns on Meagaidh, Watching basking sharks from Diocese, Feeling the rat soothed as I topped out on Sunset Slab finally after a few shakey reverses, Monster soloing sessions at Slipstones, Scugdale, Hutton roof et al, Sitting astride the ridge on Via Valencianos. Too many to list. I also have an inordinate amount of affection for Noticeboard Slab at Wharncliffe. And anything on Gneiss near Torridon, truly a bit of heaven that slipped to earth to inspire us to behave well in this life, (or a soaked cold midge ridden purgatory depending on your luck)
