been climbing for about 25 years started a bit too old but keen to push the grades, work around VS on all rock, When the route suits me and the wind blows in the right direction have been up about a dozen E1's even fooled myself into getting up a E2. Sport climb more now to about 6a+/6b
am now on my 15th winter season (spent a lot of time getting my winter ML) and like most still a punter at around III or IV'.
Climbed a few easy trekking peaks in India to 6000M and a few more challenging ones in Bolivia. Also attempted a couple of un-climbed 6000M+ peaks, alpine style in Nepal and learnt the hard way it is mighty tough.

Best Climbing Experience
Must be the winter route up tower ridge, had it all decent conditions good views in the cloud breaks then sunshine for the top. Also like to push it a bit and pushed the boat out on a big route out of the camp site at Ailfroide 6b+ was on a slab so just about managed it.

Interests Outside Climbing
will try most things in the outside. Expeditions climbing and trekking, love exploring new areas. Was in Kashmir in 2019 when all the alleged trouble was going on, never saw a bit of it up in the mountains. Did the same in 2018 when I was in Nicaragua just after the riots and again saw no trouble, or any western tourists for that matter.
Done the high route Pyrenees from Atlantic coast to Med coast through the mountain. Also done the Camino in Spain best walk ever.

Anything Else We Should Know
One of those mental cases who has done the Monro's, done a fair few Corbett's but have no intentions of doing all of them. Been on a couple of big expeditions to Nepal and Bolivia. climbed the classics in Bolivia 4 of the 5000+ peaks in the Condororri and the 2 6000+ out of La Paz.
In Nepal climbed to within 100M of Kyajo Ri 6186 alpine style, were only team on mountain that had not been climbed so far that year so no fixed rope. I was leading 2 lads so not a crew of equals, which meant I did all the leading. In hindsight I was not up to the physical task, but proud that I made the right decision to turn back and get the 3 of us safe back down. (ridiculously hard lugging 18 kilo of kit to col and camp spot above 5700M) also did manage to lead the lads up the east peak of Abi 6053M again alpine style.
