The day before Bank Holiday Monday May 2010 was the last day I climbed. It turns out I have burnt out the tendons in muscles that wrap the shoulders. I'm just about to go into my 8th month without climbing and still can't do anything with my shoulders. So I'm looking at never climbing again...... but my hands still perspire and the old buzz comes back when I see a picture or watch a pro climbing the latest push. So maybe give it another year and I will be back as a nobody punter again.

In other news...... It's best not to take me seriously. I learn the hard way!

Best Climbing Experience
Trips out to Southern Sandstone early on in my climbing 'career'.

Mistaking a f6b route for a f5 and taking two goes to lead it and snatch my first f6b in October 07.

My three epics all with my good friend Sir Rich Mc Rich. The first being a bad day in Wales near the Idwal Slabs, the second was a multi pitch in Orihuela and the third being a classic and successful ascent of the Penon (last pitch in the dark without headtorches). Result - Tommy and Sir Rich 1, Penon 0.

Soloing a Southern Sandstone 5b route on one of my last days outside. It wasn't very high and I'd top roped it. So I knew I could do it. But that first taste of solo.

My climbing accident. Epic E1 fail. Left Unconquerable 1, Tommy 0. We learn from our mistakes. Massive respect to the Mountain Rescue Team and the many people that got me out of there that day.
