The greatest adventures are often no fun at all while they are actually happening (KSR). I just love being outside and sometimes the worse the conditions the better. I hate talking about mountaineering as most people just don't understand, a few people on Rocktalk do, and so like mountaineering I keep coming back again and again.

Skiing in to climb Storen in Norway one winter, a couple of days of nothing but ski tracks vanishing over mountains and good company.

Anything Else We Should Know
Just got back from cycling down the East coast of Australia with my other half. 4000km. Started in Cairns and cycled up the 4WD track to Cooktown then back down to Brisbane up onto the Great Dividing Range and down through the Hunter valley to Sydney.
50Mph on a fully loaded touring bike is a real buzz.
