John Lewis

First climbed in my teens & twenties before giving it all up getting married and settling down. Just getting back into it now and really enjoying it. Real frustration is work getting in the way but as I travel a lot should be able to find enough opportunity to climb all over the UK, Things going well a year in, trips to Fontainbleau, Borrowdale, Brimham, Stanage and of course Southern Sandstone. Managed my first UK 6a Sport indoors (A target I set myself for before the big 40)just a month and a half late. Really looking forward to getting out more in 2008.

Better get another update in, 21 lb lighter, able to run a half marathon, thinking about training for a triathlon, climbing regularly to HVS, having moved north getting out loads more, happy again with life.

Best Climbing Experience
First Lead Multipitch confident in the gear placed and the Belay point and therefore overcoming the fear of hights. The awsome place that is Fontainbleau, meeting other climbers, the most generious, helpfull and friendly group of people it is possible to meet.  Weekend in Portland fantastic weather, company, climbing, views etc. No I seem to love it all.

Oh and discovering someting about myself on a couple of recent climbs and the mental attitude necessary sometimes
