My name is Paul, I am 54 years old. I am retired and live in Glossop Derbyshire.
I have been climbing for many years but as I lived and worked in the South my time away was very sporadic therefore I led VS 4c for many years (However I have seconded E2). Since moving to Derbyshire, and getting more mileage in, I have led my first HVS and up'ed my sport grade to 6A+.
I also ice climb and lead WI IV.
I love mountaineering and in my time have climbed in the Alps and Himalayas (On one occasion).
I have, in the last few years, started ski touring and am always keen to venture out, when conditions allow.
Best Climbing Experience
I've had many experiences. Two of my most memorable was a road trip, in 2005, to USA where I Iced climbed in Vail and Ouray then rock climbed in Archers national park, Zion, then on to Red Rocks, outside Vegas.
The other was a trip to the Himalayas, in 2008, were I summited Mera and Island peak.
