Hello,
I would like to meet people interested in climbing indoor (near birmingham) and outdoor (anywhere, but easiest for me is peak district).

I currently do indoor and outdoor sport climbing. I am VERY interested in learning traditional climbing techniques, but not too sure where to start as all my knowledge is theoretical at the moment and could do with being put into practice.

I am based near Birmingham and go indoor climbing at creation wall in Moseley, used to climb at the rockface (o how i miss you!!!). I have done outdoor sport climbing leading in the peak district a couple of times at low grades. I have done top roped climbs in the peak district, Wales, Lake district.

I have struggled to keep climbing partners in the past due to them either moving to London to work and live, getting married and losing interest in everything that isn't coupley or golf or going AWOL and sleeping with my ex-girlfriend behind my back (i don't hate him, i just don't know whether i trust him to hold the other end of the rope anymore!)

Best Climbing Experience
There are 2...
1.Going climbing at horseshoe quarry for the first time, not being able to sleep the night before because of the excitement. Seeing my climbing partner who i trained from scratch, develop over 12 months from the least confident climber in our little group to a competant climber and solid belayer. Having a great day and coming home safe and happy.
2.Being rigged up by a friend to abseil face first down a cliff face somewhere in Wales when i was about 17, really weird feeling and great fun.

Favourite Climbing-Related Discussion Topic
Like all climbing stories, but i am very interested in all of the very technical aspects of climbing, the physics of it, the forces involved, how the equipment works, when and why it fails and the best technique. Love all aspects of the sport.
