I am currently travelling the world with nothing but my crampons and a velvet jacket, having left my academic career as a biologist to follow my heart into the mountains :-D

I really love big, remote, adventurous days in the mountains: long rock, ice & mixed routes in the Alps, the Rockies or Scotland; touring and freeriding couloirs in Swizterland; or trekking in the jungles of Borneo.

I also like a bit of nice, relaxed crag climbing or bouldering on a warm summer's evening, but if I can get a long mountain day with someone I enjoying spending time with, that's what I love.

Best Climbing Experience
Long mountain routes with an early start, good company and a sore-footed return: three days winter climbing camped under Mont Blanc du Tacul; four days snowboard-touring in the high Alps of Ticino; climbing Whiteman Falls in Canada; or the fantastic Bosigran Ridge with a 5am pre-dawn start.

Snowboard-touring in the picture-perfect, forested pre-Alps in 30cms of fresh powder, and anything in descent with a transceiver!
