A keen hillwalker and climber, been out of practice for a few years due to career change. Now getting back into the walking side, and keen to re-start climbing again. My main aim is to be become proficient at leading up to HVS, no burning desire to go higher.

Also keen on Classic Cars, namely Triumphs, which is what the bulk of my website and blog is all about.

Location
Shotts, Central Scotland

Best Climbing Experience
Soloing Little Cham on a warm summers evening, beautiful. Otherwise, scrambling Stac Pollaidh a few years back, my first hill after a major car smash. Summer again, no wind just nice hot sun. Best "Hill" day I have ever done.

Interests Outside Climbing
Well..............
For a start, anything to do with the Sea. To that end, I am qualified Engineer Officer (currently OOW, but will work my way upwards in time).
I am also a bit of a petrol head, though my interests lie almost solely in Classic Cars. I have owned 2 Triumph Spitfires to date, and have ambitous plans for third 'prototype'. I also aim to dabble further in the Triumph line, however I am also hankering after an old Corvette Stingray! (That may take a couple of years labour first though.) I would also love to own something Vintage, preferably big like a Bentley, however that will require some thought before any decisions are made.
Other than that, I would class my political views as being liberal, though confess to being a bit of a traditionalist. (Incidentally,I am a keen although very bad folk musician, and have supported the Trad scene for a number of years now.) Aside from that, I can hold some pretty strong views, I thoroughly enjoy a damn good debate, and will play devils advocate to do so.

About My Photography
Not really something I can lay claim to, photography is one of those areas I keep meaning to dabble in but never quite got around to!
