Wayward Alpinist with a soft spot for the Ben.

More recently Viking Buttress in the Lakes provided some good winter sport.

Best Climbing Experience
Probably the Central pillar of freney or watching the sunrise over the Tasman sea from the summit of mount Cook. The Ben has been a special place over the years, with vived memories of many an ascent, Astral Highway solo after my partner twisted his ankle on the approach to the hut, to find a virgin climb with enough placements in rippy snow ice,to really focus the mind, Gemini in a northerly gale, the Ben at it's most venomous, how we didn't get avalanched swimming up to the bottom of the climb, I will never know.

sending "Yorkshire 8a" at Rothley was pretty pivotal bouldering wise, from first trying and thinking impossible, to the joy and flowing movement along all 26 moves on the day, what a journey.
