joe.91

Student studying Chemical Engineering at the University of Manchester with a love for the outdoors. I do many activities involving the outdoors but my main passion is my climbing. I'm probably the one of the most psyched climbers you will ever meet and I'm always keen for getting out to the crag. I love most disciplines when it comes to climbing, of recent I seem to be more into my bouldering but I'm hoping to change that and focus more on to trad and ice.

Best Climbing Experience
Climbing my first HVS (Right Unconquerable, Stanage); falling off Flying Buttress Direct; having a mini epic on Great End in winter where we topped out in a blizzard in the dark with one broken head torch, a broken axe and a jammed rope while having no idea how to get down; having a crushing weekend at Thorn Crag and St Bee's doing my first E4 and various font 7's; awesome day's at Trowbarrow where I sent my first font 7C, another where I sent my first 7C+ in a break in the weather and spending most of summer working Iron Man for my first (I think) 8A; climbing the Cold Climb's classic Chock Gully on Falcon Crag for my first proper grade V 5; great day out climbing Raven Crag Gully (III/IV) for the best winter I've done; and having a great long day ice climbing in devils kitchen doing the kitchen (IV 5/6, steepest ice I've climbed), the Screen (IV 4, the most technical ice I've climbed) and the Ramp (III) in a day.

Anything Else We Should Know
I'm weird, I like to climb big mountain routes in winter and in summer small overhanging rocks.
