In January 2006 I had the first of four operations to rebuild my right leg the last of which was in November 2007  , on the 06/01/08 I did my first winter climb since the operations, out on Helvellyn crampons ice axe the full works ...my climbing history... well I promised my surgeon I would give up rock climbing, but I am still going to climb mountains from my favorite hill Helvellyn to Scotland Wales Austria and  Mont Blanc I hope to return to most of them one day ......Bighell
