Increasingly occasional climber, never much good but nonetheless enjoying myself. Once walked up a 5980m peak in the mistaken belief that I was on a first ascent of a 6000m peak, never mind, it wasn't far short. I am a committed bumbly and if they still made breeks I'd probably wear them....
Dunedin, New Zealand
Best Climbing Experience
Slanting Buttress Ridge Route (Lliwedd) under 6 inches of snow, finishing in the dark, without any winter gear...whoops. Well the book says it will go in any condition. Cwfry Arete in winter with a bivvy on the summit. Anything with good friends and enough food :-)
Favourite Climbing-Related Discussion Topic
Probably not anything to do with tarmac and paths on Snowdon...
Interests Outside Climbing
Scrambling, telemarking, hill walking, buying ridiculous bits of lightweight gear for MMs (even though there don't seem to actually be any in NZ).
Reading about climbing and mountaineering rather than actually doing any.

Anything Else We Should Know
Can heartily recommend marrying a kiwi. We've shifted south and the quality of life is as good as the quality of the rock is bad... now resident in sunny Dunedin, the riviera of the Antarctic.
