Update 21st Aug 2013So I did it, I climbed the mighty Matterhorn 14,692 ft (4,478 m) in the swiss alps. My partner was Jerry Gore. I did it to raise money for his Ecuador appeal which gets insulin to type 1 diabetic children who would die without it, I raised £1,414.61 which is enough to keep a kid alive for 18mths. Well chuffed :~)

Best Climbing Experience
The big conker tree in the local park when I was a kid. I had no interest in playing conkers so I would bounce the branches and shake them off for my friends. This and the tree swing were great fun all summer and autumn year after year, until one day a branch snapped, and I fell 30ft to the floor braking my fib and tib...lol. When I went back to the tree years later, it had been hit by lightning and had been felled., but alas all is not lost. I always carry a rope in the boot of my car in case I find another suitable tree swing candidate.
