Multi pitch trad on high crags remains the gold standard for me - but I get all other styles of climbing. Even been known to place a bolt or two. Successfully avoiding most forms of gainful employment these days and getting out plenty. Started at a time when cragging was anarchic and rude - still doing my own little bit to ensure it stays that way. Willing to admit an interest in mountain literature and art. Recently retired as BMC North West Area Chairman (managed to nab someone else who was standing at the same place in the bar for too long)

I think that talking about climbing is really a bit dull and I particularly shy away from people who read guidebooks in the pub. Regard UKC forums as a tragic waste of time and wish I could stop myself from posting.
