Congratulations to Pat Littlejohn for being awarded an OBE.
The other threads on this subject got me thinking; why can’t we simply congratulate someone without denigrating the achievement of others? Also I wondered how many climbers have been given an award, so after a bit of research on t’internet I’ve started off a list of climbers/mountaineers who’ve received an award under the UK honours system.
If anyone can add to this any missing dates or reasons for the award, or indeed any climbers/mountaineers missing from the list then please do. It would be nice to keep it to the facts rather than discussing the various merits of the awards!
