I did a quick search and couldn’t find this topic - sorry if i missed it

There is a planned GPS outage for northern Scotland for a Military training exercise between the 1st and 11th of October.

This will impact normal systems in use north of Torridon and Inverness at sea level with an increase in area with flight elevation (estimate - could be more or less).

It is based on last years (and years before) suggesting that it will be limited times and short bursts during this period and not a blanket.

I know no more than this - this information is not created by me and is merely passed on.

to anyone who's interested...

the exercise is called 'JOINT WARRIOR 2-12', its a major NATO maritime/amphibious/airmobile exercise that takes place twice a year along the whole of the south-west, west and north coasts of Scotland. in addition to the GPS outage/jamming, there will be lots of very low flying, and the live range at Cape Wrath is going to be booked solid.

if you want to watch, the Cuillin often has a good view...
