For wife.

Has to be simple to use.
Must fit in pocket.
Best quality possible obviously.
A decent zoom but does not have to be excessive.
Reasonably robust.

Many thanks for any and all help. Cheers, Si

I own a Canon IXUS 115 which has been great. Its under a 100 but don't let that put you off

But if you want a bit more zoom then how about the IXUS 230

Panasonic Lumix FT3 Waterproof and Shockproof Digital Camera - Red (12.1MP, 4.6x Optical Zoom with GPS) 190 on Amazon.

Flat profile so easy in and out of pocket. Good pictures. Easy to use (one handed). No problem when it falls out of pocket and lands on concrete before bouncing into muddy puddle.

Mines been kayaking, coasteering, body boarding, climbing, mountain marathons, taking pictures in desert at 65 degC, got splattered in oil today at work so washed it in sink with soapy water.

Happy owner :-)
