 Topic - Am I pushing my luck?

| As more of a walker / scrambler, I recently broke my winter duck on a grade 1 gully. Snow was set "bombproof" as I ascended wearing Scarpa SL's, old fully strapped Camp crampons and 1 DMM Cirque axe. Answers will obviously be dependant on conditions, but at what grade would rope and protection be expected to be used? Cheers. |
