For the last few months I've been trying to decided on a 5 or 6 day cycle tour me and my 11 year old stepson can undertake this coming summer. My 'lad' will be on a racer and I'll be on a MTB, we want to camp on decent campsites along the way, and want to stop off and explore 'stuff' along the way too. I think that we'll be wanting to ride no more than 25- 30 miles per day. So far we've come up with the CTC and Normandy, can anyone suggest anything else??
With thanks, Mark.

Ps.Does anyone have any experience with bike express?

How about Wales north to south, the distance should be about right?

Hi, rode across the Outer Hebrides from Barra to Lewis a couple of years ago, lots to see and do along the way, and there are some really nice independent hostels - the last one in Lewis was a traditional island black house and part of a museum. The boat trip out is amazing too, I took the train to Oban for the ferry, and got bike transport back down from Ullapool (return via Stornaway) to Inverness.
