 Topic - Best cycle tour with an 11yr old??

For the last few months I've been trying to decided on a 5 or 6 day cycle tour me and my 11 year old stepson can undertake this coming summer. My 'lad' will be on a racer and I'll be on a MTB, we want to camp on decent campsites along the way, and want to stop off and explore 'stuff' along the way too. I think that we'll be wanting to ride no more than 25- 30 miles per day. So far we've come up with the CTC and Normandy, can anyone suggest anything else??
