I was up the north ridge of Spidean Coire nan Clach of Beinn Eighe today.Straightforward but interesting in the conditions. Patchy well frozen snow and lots of verglas on quartz outcrops. Gusty north-westerly with snow showers down to 600 metres. Not a soul to be seen and Torridon generally seems very quiet. Looks like the coming thaw from wednesday is set to last in the north-west for at least the next week and probably longer. My money is still on a decent February-but we might need to wait!
Hope you all have a good New Year
