I am getting together climbing gear so that I can take my 10 year old grandson climbing on Stanage.
I have already some HB Quadcams (0;0.5;1) and rocks 9+10.
For climbing on Stanage should I be buying more rocks or Wallnuts ? Or should I concentrate on buying additional cams?
It is some 20 years since I last climbed so need your advice and I will be taking an instructor with me when first starting.
Happy New Year

A basic starter rack for grit I'd suggest would be a set of nuts, 5 quickdraws, a few cams (1,2,3), if you can afford them or otherwise hexes 5,7 and 9. Add a couple of slings and screwgates for belays. This should cover a good few easy routes but add more cams if you want as they are good when you are desperate.
