Me and the missus are planning a long weekend in Grindelwald, basically to have a look round, see the eiger etc..

Can anybody advise me on how to get to Grindelwald? The flight options are Geneva or Zurich but it seems a fair hike from the airports to Grindelwald.

Thanks

It's Switzerland, so trains are probably the most sensible option. Head for the Swiss Travel Centre in London (www.stc.co.uk) and give them a call to discuss options. There's a "Swiss Transfer Ticket" which costs about 75 and gives you a return trip from an airport or border point to one destination and back by any combination of public transport (train, bus, boat etc)

From either Geneva or Zurich the fastest way is to go on the excellent motorways to Bern and thence to Interlaken, with stunning views of the Bernese Oberland ahead from around Bern. Only a few hours.
