Am thinking of climbing in n.America sometime in 2013,only one snag: Ive no idea where to climb. There's just so much stuff . I'm only climbing t sort of vs+ so hanging off half-dome is not my scene!!
Anyone suggest some "pleasant" areas with not too desperate routes?
Thanks
Cliff

In reply to Cliffm: On the contrary, Half Dome could be ideal! Look up Snake Dike - a super classic route up Half Dome at VS-HVS.

California is highly recommended if you're after long multipitch routes, especially if you would like to get into the mountains. There's loads of great stuff at all grades, with varying levels of commitment and length of walk-ins.

Have a look at the Supertopo website for some ideas: http://www.supertopo.com/climbingareas.html

In reply to Cliffm: Have a look on supertopo.com Got good info on yosemite, touloumne meadows, j. tree. Where you go depends a lot on when, and you can see the best time to visit places on there. There are loads more places than on supertopo, but its a good place to start
