 Topic - 'Stretching' stainless steel uprights?

Just got some new BD Seracs, but to get a perfect fit I would like to stretch the front posts a bit to allow the boot to sit lower. They are the clips withe the plastic loop at the front. It's attached on the inside of the posts, so I guess drilling the river off and reattaching on the outside is another option. Any ideas?
