 Topic - Sharpening Axes

I know there was an article on UKC last year on this subject. I have a pair of DMM axes and am getting them ready for a trip north. What material are they made of?
How sharp can I expect to get them?
NB With the way I have taken my file to them they are customized compired to their original spec. |
