/ Selling an old skool BMX
I bought it at the national finals in Derby from a guy who's son had raced for the Reynolds team and it was one of 20 limited edition bikes they made for team riders. I replaced the tyres recently with a vintage set that were identical to the perished ones I took off, so all is in original spec.
I'd like to get a minimum of £500 for it as this is the cost of an Isla bike I would like to buy for my (increasingly not so) little one.
Any advice or tips for selling such a machine greatly appreciated.
Have a look on pinkbike.com in the USA BMX classified section they have UK & EU sections too . It could be worth having a look for UK Teams as well & check relevent websites & forums sorry not sure which these would be though .
Have you thought about checking out a few race meets as well eg the nationals and stuff ? I may know a few dudes who could be interested as well a friend recently bought an original Redline BMX & it looks lovely .
Also seen rare bikes sell at big events like NASS too . I hear the serious buyers are in the states and Japan at the moment . Wouldn't really know where to start to be honest .
If you send me some pics I can show a few dudes who are on the ball eg Gary Woodhouse Curtis Bikes , Matt Hodkinson , Grant Yurberry etc they'll know much more than me . I'll send you an email addy in a sec .
Thanks for the replies!
Just sent you a mail Leon.
