Hi All,

Can someone recommend me a reasonably priced 80m rope for sports climbing with acceptable quality and a website where I can buy it?

It would need to work with a Grigri 2

Cheers

Cheers, but even though that's a good price for a Sterling Sharma edition I was looking for something more economical in these hard times :)

I've seen really low priced ropes on German websites but I'm not sure about risking ordering from them as the appear ridiculously cheap (just over 100 Euros for an Elderid)

Simond from Decathlon. I have an 80m 9.8 and it's been excellent.

If you mean like these guys http://www.dein-klettershop.de/klettern/kletterseile/schnaeppchenseile/ then I wouldn´t worry, they´ve been in business a fair old while and are one of the bigger climbing wall specialists. I´ve bought stuff from them before now.
Under €100 for a 70m budget rope is standard here, the last 70m Tendon I bought was €89.
Postage for you is €14.99

Thanks guys, I was looking at the Simond so cheers for that as I was wondering if the quality was ok.

I'll re-look at the German website and have pomander.

Once again, Cheers
